About Story of Seasons
Known as Bokujou Monogatari in Japan, Story of Seasons is a much beloved series of farming simulation games. The franchise has been going strong for 28 years, delighting fans new and old with its relaxing gameplay and charming characters. Play as a young person just starting out as a farmer in a new town. Grow crops, raise livestock, befriend your neighbours, and enjoy the beauty of the countryside, all at your own pace. While the core gameplay has remained unchanged since the series' humble beginnings, each title has something unique to offer. Personally, I love this series to bits and will never shut up about it.
Naming/Localisation Troubles
Initially, the series was localised in the west as Harvest Moon but, since 2014, it is now published under the name Story of Seasons. Things can get confusing, though, because another company still owns the name Harvest Moon and continues to release farming games with that title. Upon playing these "fakes", however, you'll quickly realise that they are not developed by the same people.
This fanlisting is for authentic Bokujou Monogatari games only. That means: all Story of Seasons titles, as well as games called Harvest Moon that were published before 2014. You can read more about the localisation fiasco here and here.
